About Me

I love the work I do! I bring to my work an accumulation of many years of perspective and experience. In my lifetime I have worn many hats, often simultaneously. I am a full-fledged member of the Sandwich Generation, lovingly focused in one direction on my children and grandchildren and, in the other direction, my aging parents. The unique combination of my work as a therapist and as a management consultant broadens my capacity to understand people's personal and professional issues. 

I am a fifth generation Californian, born and raised in the Bay Area. My maternal grandparents pioneered Mountain View in the mid 1800’s and were amongst a group of families who gave birth to what was then a small, rural community. Today I can walk by the house on Villa Street, built by my great-grandfather, where my grandmother was born in 1898. 

As far back as I can remember people have come to me with their problems. I’ve been told that I can be trusted, I listen, don’t judge and I offer good advice. I’ve decided I must be wired that way. I feel grateful when I can make a difference.
